New Defense artist revealed!

Wanted to let everyone know what we are working away on the second issue of THE DEFENSE and are aiming for a November launch on a crowdfunding site near you! Here's a sneak peek...
As mentioned previously, a new layout artist has joined Jack Champagne, Rich Stahnke and myself to produce the book and that artist is none other than DC/MARVEL artist and Gamera superfan KEVIN WEST!
Kevin and I worked together several times on DC projects over the years and also on an IRON MAIDEN graphic novel for Heavy Metal. He's a great talent and we're lucky to have him onboard to help tell this story. I think when everyone sees what we're cooking up, you'll agree!
Also, while I have your attention, today is the final day of the campaign for NPC JUMP #3. Here's the variant cover I drew for this issue:
If you guys want to check this project out, there are also variant covers by Stefan Tosheff, Neil Edwards and Rich Stahnke, plus the main cover by series' artist Carlos Reno. The project is fully funded and we're super close to hitting the stretch goal of giving all backers a copy of our favorite book, THE DEFENSE #1!

Packages shipped!

Happy to report that all packages aside from the signed copies of DEFENSE #1 have been shipped out earlier this week!
As you may recall from our last update, there was a printing snafu with the signed copies and we had to re-sign a 2nd batch. That 2nd batch is arriving at our incredible print/fulfillment partners' facility TODAY so I anticipate those being shipped out shortly. So hang in there, the wait is almost over!
We hope you'll enjoy your copies of Defense #1! if you have any issues with your packages or are missing any items, please contact us at [email protected] for assistance.

A slight problem with fulfillment

We've had an unforeseen delay for those of you that wanted your copies of Defense #1 signed.
To expedite this tier, the printer sent printed copies of the COVERS ONLY to be signed; which were autographed and shipped back to be stapled to the interiors. We used the same process on NPC JUMP #2 for the remarqued tier and everything worked perfectly.
Unfortunately, in this case, the covers did not align with the interiors. It's difficult to tell from this photo I was sent but the front cover creeps onto the back by about a quarter inch, it doesn't line up properly in this case. I have a package of fully printed copies of the complete issue headed my way to re-sign and send back. Long story shorter, there will be a slight delay in fulfillment on the signed copies but the rest of the packages should ship out by the end of the month.
Sorry, guys. We make plans and god laughs!

The Digital Defense is released!

Happy to report that the digital content for The Defense #1 has been released this morning. In addition to the normal and Johnnie Cochrane editions of the book, you will also receive a code to download P.U.N.C.H. #1. In fact, you may receive like 19 codes to download P.U.N.C.H. #1 because I get easily confused.
For those of you waiting on physical copies of the books, your shipping info was sent to the fulfillment center this morning and we should be on target for an April fulfillment of the campaign. Those of you that backed both Daybreak! and Defense will receive your packages a little later (along with the Back Both Bundle books), after Daybreak! is ready to ship. Collected editions take a bit longer to print and assemble.
Finally, our next campaign, ELECTRICIA #1, is warming up in the on-deck circle!
As you may or may not know, Electricia #1 (subtitled "MY OWN WORST ENEMY") is the long-awaited sequel to the Switch: Electricia graphic novel. It's also the long-awaited PREQUEL to The Switch: Electricia graphic novel because Tom Nguyen, Rich Stahnke and I are incredibly sophisticated comic book makers. The prelaunch page is live RIGHT HERE if you'd like to be notified the instant the campaign goes live. It will be sooner than the intended launch date (May 6th) because we always try and sneak in a chance for our previous backers to grab the discounted reward tiers.

The Lockdown has begun

An ultra quick note to let you know that we are in the process of locking orders for THE DEFENSE #1. Now's the time to include any add-ons or extra copies of the variant covers if that's your thing. Or...you know, if you haven't filled out your survey yet, we are at 89% completion rate and if several more of you were to do so, we could break our survey record of 91% completion rate.
In either case, we'll be establishing print runs shortly and collecting shipping next week. Can't wait for everyone to get their books!
